Monedoor respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Monedoor is operated by 12982773 Canada Inc., based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada ("Monedoor", "we", "us").
Monedoor coordinates currency exchanges between clients and licensed money service businesses ("exchangers"). Monedoor does not hold client funds. Payments and currency delivery happen directly between you and the exchanger you choose.
Account details: name, email address, phone number.
Monedoor ID (verify once): identity information and documents needed to confirm who you are, collected through our identity verification provider, Sumsub.
Exchange requests: currencies, amounts, destination country, timing, and the quotes you receive and accept.
Exchanger information: business name, licence and registration details, and contact details.
Website and app data: device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar tools.
To create your account and verify your Monedoor ID.
To send your request to exchangers and show you their binding quotes.
To connect you with the exchanger you select.
To prevent fraud and meet legal and regulatory obligations.
To support you, improve the service, and send service messages.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share your information only with:
Exchangers: only what is needed to prepare and complete your exchange, and only for requests you choose to act on. Exchangers are responsible for their own regulatory reporting and their own handling of your information.
Service providers: identity verification, hosting, email, analytics, and support tools, bound to protect your data.
Business transfers: if Monedoor is involved in a merger or sale, with notice to you.
Our providers may store or process data outside your province or outside Canada. Information stored abroad may be accessible to authorities there under local laws
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. Identity and transaction records are kept for 3 years, then deleted or anonymized.
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required.
Under Canada's PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, withdraw consent (subject to legal limits), or challenge our compliance. Email info@monedoor.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
